Two vehicles per green While works are underway as part of the Monash Freeway Upgrade, some ramps will temporarily be reduced by one lane. To minimise impacts to drivers, some ramps will allow two vehicles per green light per lane. This video explains a little more how that will work.
Animation showing how we widen bridges on the Monash Freeway Upgrade This animation demonstrates the process we're going through to widen bridges on the Monash Freeway Upgrade. This includes lifting giant beams into place, stitching together the existing and new structures with concrete, and the impacts these works have on traffic.
Community Engagement for the Monash Freeway Upgrade The community is our number one stakeholder as we upgrade the freeway. With 200,000 of you using the road each day, we need to make sure you know about works and their impacts, and that we listen to any feedback you have. In this video we talk about some of the ways we do this.
Monash Freeway Upgrade Sweeney Drive mural We recently worked with VicRoads, the City of Casey and Berwick Lodge Primary School to create a mural for the Monash Freeway Upgrade under the Sweeney Drive bridge. Inspired by students’ designs, the 50m long artwork will help limit tagging in the area.
